A) Ruolo del sistema del complemento nel danno cerebrale acuto. Mannose-binding lectin (MBL) si deposita sulle cellule endoteliali dei microvasi cerebrali a seguito di ischemia e trauma. Da precisare i meccanismi attraverso i quali MBL ed il sistema del complemento esercitano il loro effetto tossico sull'endotelio attivato

B) Cellule staminali: un approccio terapeutico per il danno cerebrale acuto. Il trapianto di cellule staminali mesenchimali isolate dal cordone ombelicale e da midollo osseo riduce il danno funzionale ed anatomico in un modello murino di trauma cranico.
